Donate Food
During the 10-week winter distribution period, UFO will also be collecting donations of non-perishable food. If you could help collect donated food at your workplace, community group or church, please call 304-342-2023. We can supply you with a food collection barrel it you need one.
Donate Your Time
You can also donate your time to organize a fundraiser with your friends or at your work, church or neighborhood. Inquire with your employer about whether you can collect for United Food Operation at your workplace. At various times during the year, several of the Kanawha Valley’s leading private and public sector employers and unions collect contributions from employees for United Food Operation. We can certainly use more employer participation.
If you can lift cases of food, you might want to volunteer to help organize pallets or load pantry vans. Pallets are organized each Friday morning during the 10-week food distribution season. Each Saturday morning, pantry vans are loaded. If you would like to assist with either of these, call 304-342-2023 to get more information and pick a date. This work takes place at the Institute Industrial Park and plan on a minimum of a one-hour shift.
