A big food donation day happened in early May, led by the National Association of Letter Carriers and the USPS. Stamp Out Hunger food drive brought in loads of donated food from across Kanawha and Putnam counties in West Virginia.

The donated foods then made their way to the United Food Operation distribution center in Institute, WV with the help of WV National Guard personnel. The foods at UFO were sorted and then picked up by the group’s 12 participating food pantries.

These contributions to Stamp Out Hunger mean so much to the twelve foot pantries that participate with United Food Operation. The donated food gives a big boost to helping the pantries meet their mission of feeding the hungry.
